Residence Hall Facilities
The Student Housing Office is
situated on the second floor of the Residence Hall. Office hours
are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Dennis

phone at (504) 568-6259 or e-mail him at dlausc STANISLAUS HALLThe six floors of the recently renovated Stanislaus Hall have 154 single occupancy dorm suites. Each suite is furnished with a single bed, wardrobe, entertainment center, computer desk and chair along with network connectivity and regular television cable. Common features of accommodations on each floor are kitchen, free laundry rooms and study areas with internet connections. Two floors of Stanislaus Hall are designated for relaxing in a den/living room atmosphere that includes sofas, love seats, coffee tables, television and DVD player. A modern, state of the art, Fitness/Wellness Center is the showcase of Stanislaus Hall. Situated on two floors and staffed with dedicated professionals, the Fitness Center is available free to all students. Spinning, yoga, tai chi, the latest in weight equipment and group aerobics are all free offerings of the activity program. Massage therapy and personal training sessions are available at reasonable rate agreements. Located at 450A South Claiborne, Stanislaus Hall has covered parking adjacent to the facility.
THE RESIDENCE HALLThe 160,000 square feet of the Residence Hall contains 208 living units for the community of single students and married couples. Adjacent parking at ground level is fenced. Inside and outside recreational areas include table tennis, billiards, basketball, volleyball and badminton courts. The outside perimeter of the Residence Hall is measured for lap walking or jogging. Located at 1900 Perdido Street, the Residence Hall connects to the Medical Education Building by covered, elevated walkway for easy and quick access to class rooms, labs, library, seminar rooms and cafeteria. |
